My process begins with the spark of an idea, which I then translate to paper or canvas. The act of mark making, ripping paper, choosing colors, stimulates my senses and my need to create. I then begin a conversation with the work. It might suggest a memory, a feeling, or a place. In the end, it tells me what it wants to be.
